Race Bib Pickup

➕Friday 9.10. at 15:00 – 20:00
➕Saturday 10.10 at 8:00 ->

Participant materials will be distributed at the event tent. You will receive your race bib with a timing chip and safety pins. Make sure to allow enough time to collect your bib before your race starts. We recommend picking up your bib on Friday to avoid queues.

Bag Storage

🧳 There is a designated gear storage area at the event where you can leave your belongings during the run.
⚠ Please note that storing your items is always at your own risk.
👉 When picking up your race bib, you can request a bag for items you want to leave at the start. Label the bag using the tear-off strip at the bottom of your bib. If you use your own bag, make sure it is clearly marked with your name and race number.

Aid Stations

There are a total of 3 aid stations along the course. You can find the locations and distances of the aid stations for your route in the 👉 “Distances & Routes” section â€ș
â›ș HakamĂ€entie
â›ș Pirkkola
â›ș PaloheinĂ€

Aid Station Supplies

  • At the aid stations, water and NOSHT sports drink (lemon flavor) will be available.
  • There will also be both salty and sweet snacks, including bananas and chocolate.
  • Pickled cucumbers at the aid stations are provided by Herkkumaa.
  • At the 25 km PaloheinĂ€ aid station, soft drinks will be available

⚠ Please note that there are no cups at the aid stations – only pitchers, which you can use to fill your own cup, bottle, or hydration pack.
⚠ Do not drink directly from the pitchers! The water is for drinking only, not for pouring over yourself.

đŸ—‘ïž Trash bins are available at the aid stations. All waste generated during the event must be placed in the bins at the aid stations or at the finish line. This includes fruit peels.

Finish line Services

  • At the finish line, you can replenish your energy with a tasty hot soup, with a vegan option also available.
  • Portable toilets are available at the finish line.
  • Showers are located right near the finish area. Please note! The showers are in the ElĂ€intarha changing rooms, and the availability of hot water may vary.

Self-support and External Aid

⚠ The race is a “partially self-supported” event.

Participants carry their own snacks and the drinks they need between aid stations. External support is allowed only at the official race aid stations. At these stations, runners can refill their drinks and enjoy the snacks provided. You are welcome to load snacks into your cup and nibble on them while gaining energy for the next stage. If you wish, you may also take additional food from your own support crew—but only at the official aid stations.

👉 Remember to review the Trail Runner’s Etiquette before the event!

Mandatory equipment must be carried from start to finish. Event staff may conduct random equipment checks during the race.

The event course runs through Keskuspuisto in October conditions, meaning the ground is covered with plenty of leaves. To ensure the course markings are clearly visible, we mark the route with orange and blue ribbons attached to the trees.

Even though the course is carefully marked and lead runners are present, we recommend downloading the GPS track to your sports watch.
You can find the GPS tracks for all routes in the 👉 “Distances & Routes” section â€ș

đŸ“±Event Emergency Service 040 6605 281

💚 A phone is a mandatory item and must be with you so you can call for help for yourself or other participants.
💚 The organizers may also need to call you. Please answer even if everything seems fine.
💚 If an incident occurs on the course that prevents you from continuing, call the organizers.
💚 If you need to withdraw, make your way to the nearest aid station, where we will assist you back to the event center.
💚 Remember to report your withdrawal to the event contact to avoid unnecessary searches, and also clearly inform the aid station staff.
💚 We recommend leaving warm clothes at bag drop. In October, temperatures may range from +0 °C to +5 °C, increasing the risk of hypothermia after the run.

Common issues in trail running include:
đŸ€• Chafing
đŸ€• Blisters
đŸ€• Injuries from falls
đŸ€• Dehydration
đŸ€• Fatigue due to running out of energy

đŸ„¶ In cold conditions, the risk of hypothermia increases. Be prepared to help yourself or a fellow runner on the course.
đŸ€ Trail running also involves helping those in need. If a fellow runner appears to struggle, check in on them and offer assistance.

⚠ Remember that you are responsible for your own insurance coverage.

🆘 In serious accidents, first call the general emergency number 112 for help.
👉 After that, call the event contact at 040 6605 281

Rules

A participant may be disqualified or given a time penalty for the following reasons

  • Littering
  • Unethical behaviour
  • Using external aid outside of the aid stations
  • Not helping fellow runners in need
  • Missing compulsory gear. Race steward may carry out inspections along the route to check your equipment.
  • Taking the short cut
  • Not visiting all of the aid stations
  • Trail Runner’s Etiquette must be followed during the event.

Important Information & Safety on the Course

  • The rules and guidelines used in the race are based on the Trail Runner’s Etiquette compiled jointly by Trail Tour Finland and Ultra Trail Tour Finland events. For all race distances, the practice is: PARTIALLY SELF-SUPPORTED – SEMI AUTONOMY (see details in the Trail Runner’s Etiquette).
  • Littering is strictly prohibited (this includes biodegradable peels) and may result in a time penalty or disqualification, depending on the severity of the violation.
  • The event takes place in autumn, so the trails may be wet and covered with leaves.
  • For ankle sprains, first aid includes: cold, elevation, compression.
